If you require hemodialysis during your trip to Kyoto, you can rely on our facility for safe and professional care.
Rakuwakai-Toji Minami Clinic is located just 5-min walk from the World Heritage site of Toji Temple.
You can arrive here by way of Kintetsu Railway at Toji Station, one stop away from Kyoto Station with 10- min walk. You also take taxi from Kyoto Station Area with just 5-min ride.
Most staff could not communicate in English, However,Physicians could take care of you in English, so please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about dialysis in Japan.

Dialysis Treatment at Our Clinic

  • Location: South of central Kyoto
    Toji Minami Clinic is located a 5-minute walk from the World Heritage site of Toji Temple.
  • Dialysis time slots:
    Morning 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    Afternoon 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

How to apply

Applications must be made in advance, between 1 to 3 months before the desired dialysis date.
Please contact us by telephone: 075-672-7500 (Available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Japan time)
We would ask you to prepare a referral letter from your physician.

What to Bring

Please prepare and send the following documents in advance by fax:

  • A referral letter from your doctor
  • Dialysis reports from the last 2–3 procedures

On the day of treatment, please bring.

  • A health insurance card (if you have one)
  • The original referral letter
  • Medications brought from home
  • Comfortable clothes or pajamas (if needed)
  • Slippers are not required – you may wear shoes inside
  • Your valid credit card if you would like to pay by card. We accept Mastercard, Visa card, and American Express card.

Q. How many languages do your staff speak?
A. many staff speak only Japanese. However, physicians are available in English, so you don't have to hesitate to ask them any questions about dialysis in Japan.

Q.How much does dialysis cost?
A. The cost is approximately ¥80,000 to ¥100,000 per session. We accept cash or credit card.
